Well, who would have thought?  The Bundts have their own holiday, November 15th.  What originally began as a proclamation from the State of Minnesota, the birthplace of the Bundt, has transcended to a Nationally Recognized Holiday.

To celebrate the day, I thought I would give a Roundup of some of my favorite Bundt-related things.  These are a few of my favorite things (cue the Music)

I Like Big Bundts:  Mary, the wonderful Food Librarian, did 30 Days of Bundts for 3 years in 2009, 2010, and 2011.  It is a LOT of work, not only to find/create the recipes, but to bake, photograph, blog, and promote these 30 Bundts on her blog.  Check out her site and be amazed!

CNN’s Eatocracy has written a piece about the Bundts, including the history:

Pillsbury, the popular American Baking Company and host of the Annual Pillsbury Bake-Off, can actually be credited with the resurgence of the Bundt when a woman won 2nd Place with the Tunnel of Fudge.  Here is a list of their Bundt Recipes.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding: , one of my favorite movies is My Big Fat Greek Wedding.  Not just because it’s a female writer and a relatable love story.  It’s because they feature the cross-cultural exchange of a Bundt Cake!   Nia Vardalos and family were customers, dare I say FANS of Kiss My Bundt’s retail bakery, and she was so kind to write an acknowledgement and comment on the back cover of my cookbook.  Here is a YouTube clip of the infamous Bundt Scene.
