Ganache Hot Cocoa BigOven - Save recipe or add to grocery list Yum
This isn't your powder packet cocoa. Rich, creamy, and made in a snap. This recipe will make you want to sit in on a cold day with butter and cinnamon toast, a warm cup, a cozy blanket, and maybe a friend or two 🙂

  1. 1. In a saucepan warm the cream on medium heat
  2. 2. When the cream starts to form bubbles around the pot, add sugar and stir for one minute to dissolve
  3. 3. Bring cream to a near-boil, about 190 degrees. Note: you do not want the cream to boil, but you want it hot enough to melt the chocolate.
  4. 4. Pour chocolate chips into the cream and remove from heat. Let sit for one minutes.
  5. 5. Whisk the chocolate into the cream until completely dissolved.
  6. 6. Whisk in 2 tsp of vanilla until incorporated
  7. 7. When ready to make hot cocoa, Mix 8 ounces warm whole milk with one tablespoon of ganache until fully blended. Top with marshmallows, or add peppermint for an extra kick to the warm and cozy drink!
Recipe Notes

You can cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
